Our Solution Partners
AES Solution Partners Include:
Typical electronic systems have one to four microprocessors in them. Adept Electronic Solutions provides embedded system design for most of our customers. We also have done work with FPGAs, CPLDs and custom designed ASICs/SOCs.
- A global leader in technologies for the electric power industry. Projects have included control and monitoring systems for high voltage circuit breakers, precision optical voltage and current sensors, galvanically isolated temperature sensors, data acquisition for, and verification of, high voltage test equipment.
- An emerging manufacturer of underground mining communications systems. We are developing technology to allow personnel on the surface of the earth to communicate with personnel underground in the event of a mine collapse or other emergency situation.
- A world leader in the nuclear power industry. We are working with this customer to help modernize the control systems used in today's modern nuclear power plant.
- An innovator in mine safety devices. Keeping the personnel in the mining industry safe has always been a top priority. With today's modern micro-processors, it is possible to monitor many aspects of the integrity of a mine system and provide valuable information as to the impending risks of continued mining in a specific area.

Alertek, LLC
Alertek has developed proprietary sensors and algorithms to monitor the conditions of the world's infrastructures. The technology utilizes sensors and electronics that detect signals related to structure weakening. Specific applications include monitoring mine roofs, highway bridges and tunnels.
Alertek manufactures a Structure Integrity Monitor (SIM) device that continuously monitors the level of stability of underground mine roofs and walls (ribs). It issues a warning alarm when a dangerous level of instability is developing. Mines install a network of roof and rib bolts to stabilize the mine infrastructure. SIM confirms the stabilization effect. If at some future time, due to ground shifts, an unstable situation is developing, SIM emits a warning signal to allow time for the maintenance crew personnel to take proactive action to re-establish stability and prevent accidents.
Alpha Natural Resources
Alpha Natural Resources is one of America's leading producers of coal, which is an essential part of our daily lives. From generating light and heat to helping make the steel that goes into our roads, bridges and buildings, coal powers our future. In fact, coal generates 40% of the world's electricity and powers almost 70% of global steel production.

Ameritek
Ameritek Communications manufactures wireless, two-way, real-time through-the-Earth (TTE) communications systems for the underground mining industry. The systems are designed for emergency use after a mine accident when hard-wired communication systems have been destroyed, as well as for everyday use. Refuge shelters equipped with Ameritek's systems provide trapped miner the means to communicate with personnel above ground. The systems can be switched between real-time voice, texting, and beacon transmission modes.
